Combined equipment
Why choose our combined equipment?
Technology and versatility to prepare the seedbed and optimise your secondary operations
What is combined agricultural equipment?
Combined equipment is a machine that integrates two or more implements into a single tool, allowing several soil operations to be carried out in a single tractor pass. It combines, for example, a subsoiler with a fast disc harrow or a rotary tiller, optimising time, fuel and machinery wear.
What advantages does combined equipment offer over separate implements?
Combined equipment allows several operations to be performed in a single pass, which drastically reduces working time, fuel consumption, soil compaction thanks to fewer tractor passes, and operating costs per hectare. It also delivers a higher return on investment by replacing several implements with a single machine.
What models of combined equipment does JYMPA offer?
JYMPA offers three main combined equipment units: the Quatro (Sirius subsoiler + fast disc harrow), the Tandem (V-shaped subsoiler + fast disc harrow) and the Dupla (V-shaped subsoiler + rotary tiller). Each model is designed for different types of terrain and agricultural needs.
What is the difference between the Quatro, the Tandem and the Dupla?
The Quatro combines the Sirius subsoiler (with a mechanical safety system) with a fast disc harrow, ideal for hard or stony ground. The Tandem mounts a fixed V-shaped subsoiler alongside a fast disc harrow, perfect for obstacle-free terrain where maximum robustness is required. The Dupla combines a V-shaped subsoiler with a rotary tiller, delivering decompaction and seedbed refining in a single pass.
When should combined equipment be used?
Combined equipment is ideal when you want to decompact the subsoil and prepare the seedbed in a single operation. It is especially cost-effective on medium and large farms where the savings in time and fuel quickly offset the investment.
Which combined equipment is best for stony ground or terrain with obstacles?
For ground with stones, roots or stubble, the Quatro model is the most suitable choice thanks to the mechanical safety system of the Sirius subsoiler, which protects the tines and the tractor against impacts.
Are JYMPA disc harrows compatible with any tractor?
Yes, JYMPA disc harrows are available in different working widths and configurations to suit the power of any tractor. The Espigol mounted harrow is ideal for lower-powered tractors, while the Almenara fast harrows make the most of medium- and high-power tractors.
What kind of maintenance do JYMPA disc harrows require?
JYMPA disc harrows are designed for minimal maintenance. The discs, bearings and wear parts are easy-to-install, low-cost spares. Their robust frame and optimised geometry ensure a long service life.
Can disc harrows be used in organic farming?
Yes. Disc harrows are a key tool in organic and ecological farming, as they allow weeds to be removed and plant residues to be incorporated into the soil mechanically, without resorting to chemical herbicides.
What working depth does a disc harrow reach?
JYMPA disc harrows work at shallow and medium depths, typically between 10 and 20 cm depending on the model and the angle of the discs. For deeper work, it is recommended to combine the harrow with a subsoiler or chisel cultivator.
