JYMPA 1971 S.L. is a Spanish company that specializes in the manufacture and commercialization of agricultural machinery for achieving the highest efficiency in the preparation of soil.

Its product catalogue is comprised of stone pickers, subsoilers, cultivators, chisels, harrows, levelling blades and combined machines.

1971 JYMPA Foundation

Josep Maria Pradas founded JYMPA 1971 S.L. from a small metal workshop in Castellserà (Lleida, Spain), together with his wife Maria Lluïsa Gené. At first he focused on making repairs and orders of metallic works, bars, etc. that local clients requested, but he clearly understood right from the beginning that he had to specialize in the manufacture of agricultural machinery and leave the limits of the town.

1972

1973 The first patent for a forklift truck for small fruit cold storage

The first forklift truck for fruit cold storage is developed and patented, as a result of the observation of the needs of the farmers with whom Josep Maria Pradas had direct contact. Almost all of these facilities are equipped in Catalonia, Aragon and the northern Valencian Community and are manufactured until the early 1980s, when forklifts appeared for the transport of goods.

1974 First JYMPA stone pickers

The first JYMPA stone pickers are developed and patented in view of the need to collect stones from the fields during a time of land consolidation. The first demonstrations are held in Sástago (Zaragoza, Spain). These stone pickers are still in force in our product range in their most up-to-date versions.

1974 New JYMPA subsoilers

1976 Change of facilities

The growth of the company causes the workshop located in the centre of the town of Castellserà to be too small, and it is decided to move offices and production machinery to new and extensive facilities on the outskirts of the town.

1977 First exports to Mexico

Josep Maria Pradas goes to the Mexican state of Chiapas along with an operator to start-up the first destoner units commissioned by the Mexican government and carry out a demonstration before a multitude of farmers and government and banking representatives.

1977-2011 Expansion throughout Hispanic America and Europe

For more than three decades JYMPA has maintained its marketing presence in Mexico and is expanding throughout the Hispanic-American market: Honduras, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay, etc. At the same time, it also exports machinery to EEC / European Union and Eastern European countries. In 2011 it began to manufacture directly in Mexico to consolidate its position in the American continent.
